Vlogger of the Week: The Wandering Wasp

Screaming Thunder Blog/Vlog was originally created for American made motorcycle riding to prove that our iron horse can compete with the KTM, BMW and other types of dual sport bikes within reason right? I am starting this weekly Vlogger of the Week (or when I can get to it) series highlighting what catches my eye. I will feature adventure seekers on two wheels that ride the United states and the world. My first Vlogger of the Week is a woman who lives on the other side of the world. Her name is Juvena Huang and she is the Wandering Wasp. Her motto is “It’s About The Rider NOT The Bike.”
Singapore to Europe on a Scooter in 1 minute – The Wandering Wasp
Juvena found her ticket to freedom when she bought her first scooter on her 20th birthday. Combining her love for riding and travel, a friend’s sudden passing drove Juvena to leave the safety net of home and job to wander the world on the scooter.
Solo but hardly alone, she eventually rode from Singapore to Europe covering 44,000km, 25 countries in 27 months. Her journey has amassed a following on the Facebook Page “The Wandering Wasp” as she shares her intimate travel experiences and reveals on the ground aspects of countries hardly shown by mainstream media.

With the power of storytelling, Juvena hopes to foster cross-border understanding and tolerance and to inspire others to discover their potential. Her ambitious journey was featured in Singapore publications like The Straits Times, Today, Carbuyer and Her World.
She was interviewed by overseas published motorcycle adventurers like Lois Pryce for Bikes Magazine (UK) and Nathan Millward for Getting into Adventure: A Collection of Stories to Inspire (UK), and featured in the photobook “I Can. I Will. Women Overlanding The World.” She was even mentioned as one of the 5 Solo Female Travel Bloggers who are Challenging Stereotypes by Popsugar Culture.
The Wandering Wasp was thrown into international spotlight when she was featured in Dear Alyne’s video “Where Women Can’t Go.” She has plans to explore Western Europe, Africa, and the America continents next.

Nobody says that achieving great heights is going to be smooth riding. Moments behind that viral photo of my scooter and I at Khardung La, 5,359m high, using nylon ropes as snow chain substitute. (I love Jugaad!) Cussing, tears, fears and mostly importantly support and encouragement from friends.
To be honest with you in my conclusion, this girl grew on me because she has bigger balls than most men I know. She loves adventure and she does NOT listen to the Karens that “reeiiii” about dying on a two wheel adventure. She has been on the road 27-months, she has entered 25 countries, and she is still alive so for my first Vlogger of the Week … Juvena Huang the Wandering Wasp ladies & gentlemen!
