ARMY top brass were blasted for disbanding the world famous “white helmets” motorcycle stunt team after chiefs decided it was too old-fashioned.
Daredevils from of the Royal Signals Motorcycle Display Team have thrilled audiences at fetes and country shows with their stunts for the past 90 years.
Displays include forming a motorcycle human pyramid, cycling backwards while juggling, bursting through a ring of fire and riding their 750cc bikes round a field with a colleague up a ladder.
The much-loved team famously appeared on the Texaco advert in the 1980s and we’re regulars at the Royal Military Tournament.
