Paul Was The Victim Of A Harley Davidson Scam
A 67-year-old man drove from Florida to buy a Harley Davidson motorcycle from a home in Madison to find out the people who lived at the address were not selling anything.
According to the Madison Police Department, the victim responded to a classified ad in a newspaper to a man named “Paul” who claimed to be selling a Harley Davidson motorcycle. After several phone calls and text messages, the victim had his son wire $2,000 to the “seller.”
“Paul” wanted an additional $5,000 wired to him, but the victim didn’t agree to hand over any more money until he could see the bike. The victim was also told the bike would be at the house in Madison located on Bradbury Road.
Authorities confirmed that the family living at the house were not selling a Harley and the address was randomly picked by the criminal of the harley davidson scam.
